Dometic and Swedish diesel outboard innovator OXE Marine have announced a collaboration to make Dometic's Optimus 360 Joystick Control compatible with OXE's flagship 300HP Diesel outboard. This was done based on customer demand for precision steering and control aboard a wide range of vessels being equipped with twin OXE 300HP outboards.
Optimus electro-hydraulic steering and the Optimus 360 Joystick system can now be fitted to the entire range of OXE Diesel outboards, including 125HP, 150HP, 175HP 200HP and 300HP models. Twin installations are required to take advantage of the unique added benefits of Optimus 360 Joystick Control.
Optimus 360 allows operators to move the boat not only forward and back, but also sideways, by pushing the intuitive joystick to the left or right. Operators can even rotate the boat on a dime with a simple twist of the joystick.
Optimus 360 is designed for low-speed maneuvering and excels in marinas, while docking or for launching/retrieving.
