Maintaining the atmosphere inside an RV vehicle depends on many factors. It depends on temperature, air quality, air pressure, humidity, and the climate outside; is it summer, winter or somewhere in between?
The new smart RV roof ventilator, the Dometic ACC3100, was created considering all of the aforementioned factors and prioritises energy efficiency.
The ACC3100's patented heat recovery technology reuses up to 87% of the exchanged air's heat and ensures a proper air exchange without losing invested heat energy. The warm, stale air drawn out of the vehicle interior passes a heat recovery disk, which stores the
heat energy and uses it to warm up the incoming fresh air. In summer the system works in the opposite direction; it cools down the incoming fresh air to relieve the AC system.
An integrated Violate Organic Compounds (VOC) sensor detects potential health risks, such as poor air quality in sleeping areas, or plastic emissions in new vehicles. It also responds to bad odours, kitchen fumes or excessive humidity. As soon as the programmed limits are exceeded, the ventilation system automatically gets to work.
Proper ventilation is also an issue during the in-between seasons. One of the unique advantages of the ACC3100 ventilation system is that it works with all the windows and doors closed. Set to storage mode, the Dometic ACC3100 system guarantees proper ventilation, reduces air humidity, and in turn reduces the risk of mould build-up. All of this works fully automatically, meaning there is no need to visit the vehicle to open the doors and windows for ventilation. The vehicle is kept in prime condition until the next season starts.
For maximum ease of use, the ACC3100 is supplied with a multi-functional control panel. Travellers can choose between four ventilation modes: Automatic, Boost, Sleep or Storage. The ACC3100 is also designed ready for connection to the premium control panel of Dometic's upcoming "Full Climate" solution. This smart all-in-one system will combine heating, air conditioning and ventilation to give RV users the best holiday climate and unprecedented ease of use. The Dometic ACC3100 can be equipped with a performance booster, which helps reduce the energy loss even more by stabilising the pressure between inside and outside.
